We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to join our interdisciplinary development team, responsible for designing and developing innovative power semiconductor modules.
In your new role you will:
* Independently develop the mechanical details and functions of new and existing packages and product families
* Drive projects from concept development to the introduction of high-volume production in our Warstein and Cegled facilities
* Ensure that developments are based on the latest research and technologies, integrated into designs and systems in a cost-optimized manner
* Define constructive designs for new products, considering new materials in the entire chain from the supplier to the product-related manufacturing concept ("design-for-manufacturability" / "design-to-cost")
* Evaluate and verify new and existing solutions using suitable methods such as simulations and experimental investigations, as well as interpreting the results obtained
* Coordinate cross-departmental interests (e.g., electrical development, purchasing, production, quality assurance) during the concept creation phase
* Present newly developed mechanical product features at internal specialist conferences worldwide and outside the company, e.g., at congresses or conferences
You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic engineer who is passionate about technology and enjoys analyzing complex technical relationships. You are a continuous learner, striving for high quality and excellence in your work. Your proactive mindset, abstract thinking, and analytical skills will enable you to contribute innovative ideas and solutions
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
* University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master/PhD) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, or a related field of study
* At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of product development for power semiconductor modules or electrical components for road and rail transport, LED technology, or in the field of renewable energies.
* Experience in the independent design and development of metal and plastic composite components, as well as ceramics and thermal management where applicable
* You show a high willingness to travel.
* Professional experience with a 3D CAD system (e.g., Autodesk Inventor and the Vault database) and tolerance analysis and metrological software in the work environment is an advantage
* Ideally experience in the design of electrical circuits and their realization as PCBs with industry-related tools (e.g. Eagle, Altium)
* Fluency in English and Hungarian, German language skills are a plus.
