About You and This Role As an Improvement Engineer at Stade, Germany, you will work under the guidance of the Department Director, partnering with Plant and Maintenance personnel to solicit and collect ideas, describe opportunities, and implement projects. You will meet global business goals through the optimization of process technology, implementation of improvement projects, and the application of Most Effective Technology (MET). This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in your job discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Responsibilities - Implement capital and non-capital improvement projects. - Understand and manage the chemical process and process control systems. - Monitor and measure the implementation of technology plans. - Provide input for the improvement of work practices and priorities using plant and project data. - Interface with stakeholders and conduct benchmarking to develop technical optimization strategies. - Ensure validation of project performance objectives after implementation. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. - Language skills: Fluent in German and English. Preferred Skills - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. - In-depth understanding of technology and work practices. - Ability to serve as a change agent for driving technology. - Knowledge of legal requirements for plant improvements. - Leads Root Cause Investigations (RCIs) in case of unplanned events. - Ability to drive EH&S improvements.
