- Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex technical and legal issues for chemical
content/restrictions regulation in electrical and electronic equipment, packaging, and
batteries. (including Brexit Issues)
- RoHS Directive
- REACH Regulation. (SVHC, SCIP database. Etc.)
- Biocidal Product Regulation
- Food Contact Materials (FCMs) Regulation
- Fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gas) Regulation (3rd party verification, DoC Etc.)
- Others (PFAS, POPs, Flame Retardants, Volatile Organic Compounds, Nanomaterials, Drinking Water Directive, Mineral oils, Microplastic,
Formaldehyde. Etc.)
• Provide compliance guidance and advice on both technical and administrative requirements
and handle market surveillance cases by providing required technical documents to member
state authorities in cooperation with relevant BU compliance/standard teams and EU sales
subsidiaries (including UK) & production factory subsidiaries
- National authorization’s market surveillance
- Customers & buyer inquiry
- B2B Tender support
• General environmental regulation compliance policy (including UK)
- Manuals / Labels / Marking
- Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
- Green claims / Green washing
- Qualification
• Master’s degree in chemical/environmental/sustainability engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a similar function, preferably within a relevant
industry
• Chemical, environmental, sustainability industry
• Ability to analyze complex technical and legal documents to identify and solve critical issues
• In-depth knowledge of European regulations relevant to LGE product compliance
• Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting and reporting on information from relevant information
• Excellent planning and organizing skills to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks
concurrently
• Strong presentation and communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
effectively
• Fluent in English both verbal and written
