Description SUMMARY As a Regional Commissioning Engineer (m/f), you will be responsible for the commissioning of AC/DC power projects, for special on-site inspections, troubleshooting and repairs/incidents and, if required, you will provide a high level of technical support at locations in Germany or in the DACH region - a role that offers you a high degree of independence. MAJOR TASKS Execution of commissioning (L3) in the area of Power AC/DC and battery products, which can be located at different sites in DACH. Proactive participation in planning meetings to obtain a holistic overview of current requirements and support the planning team in optimising productivity. Specific system test activities include L4 (SAT), L5 (IST) and customer acceptance testing. Compilation of technical reports, documentation and procedures related to specific test activities. In the event of serious site issues and/or of commercial importance, work with the local service delivery organisation to organise and conduct site visits with the required level of technical expertise. Collect the results on site and provide the factory with all possible information to improve the product and its quality. Participate in the preparation of preliminary and final root cause analysis reports for critical incidents or major customers. Independently manage the RCAR process for local or minor incidents. Support of the field service in the application of suitable technical service procedures and tools. Use the information collected in the field to prepare and distribute the technical service information that the company must provide to the field through the publication of specific technical documents such as the Field Change Notice (FCN). Manage all the above activities taking into account the legal requirements of the ITC Regulation and the environmental requirements defined by EU regulations and local standards. Participate remotely in on-site case resolution by default, but only directly in certain authorised cases. Check the site environment for suitable locations for Vertiv storage (e.g. containers). Complete all related documents, e.g. device parameters, I/O function setup information, etc. Regular preparation of device status reports, which are submitted to the project team / associated technical managers. Support and integration of the processing and sales side in the FAT and the local introduction of the technicians. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Induction into the operation of the products manufactured by Vertiv. Work in accordance with the company's EHS policy and all safe working practices. Promote the company's image on site by offering customers a professional service and instructing site personnel in the care and operation of installed equipment where necessary. Identify opportunities for the sale of equipment, maintenance contracts and replacement power systems. Respond appropriately and professionally to all support requests. Support the new product review process and the factory feedback loop. Be a key user of the new Power architecture and support others in onboarding, development and troubleshooting. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Training in the electrical field / certificate of competence for electrical equipment (if available) Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant academic discipline. 5 years in the electrical industry or similar. 2 years in a power field service role and/or customer interface role. Driving licence WORKING CONDITIONS Can interact with the customer at all levels and internally throughout the organisation. A level-headed but assertive attitude is required, along with a commitment to consistently deliver high quality support. A self-motivated and results orientated individual with the ability to manage cross-functionally in a range of service delivery environments. A strong communicator. Excellent organisational and time management skills. They must demonstrate a consistently and coherent understanding of company and departmental policies and apply them to their daily performance and decision making. ‘Field Operations positions’ require a high level of commitment and thinking outside the box when service delivery is required. International and EMEA travel may be required, which means you will be away from home for varying periods of time. The ability to organise working hours flexibly is essential. Must have IT skills. Should be able to take over the emergency service in a region 24/7 in exceptional cases Ensure that all activities, tasks and responsibilities required for the role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation are managed and performed in full compliance with the company's ITC certification programme.
