We are looking for a motivated and dynamic HR Generalist to join our growing HR team. In this entry-level role, you will support HR initiatives by partnering with business leaders to drive organisational performance and employee engagement. Your responsibilities will include managing various stages of the employee lifecycle and assisting with payroll, as well as other HR-related initiatives. This role is a great opportunity for an aspiring HR professional to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The Role Employee Lifecycle: You will take ownership of different stages of the employee lifecycle and be the primary point of contact for our employees. Onboarding: You will be responsible for maintaining our global onboarding program HR Administration: You will provide employees with essential employment documents, including contracts, amendments, employment verifications, etc. Employee Relations: You will support performance evaluations and initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment. Payroll : You will execute the payroll process internally with support from the payroll owner and collaborate with our external payroll provider. What we're looking for Fluent in German (min. C1) and fluent in English (business proficiency required) You are passionate about the onboarding experience, understanding its key role in setting employees up for success at Choco. You proactively educate yourself on HR labour law and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices. You support all aspects of the employee experience with attention to detail, ensuring every employee has a positive experience, even in challenging situations such as separations, resignations, and performance discussions. You actively seek opportunities to assist your teammates, particularly during time-sensitive tasks such as employment contracts, verification, visa and payroll docs. You independently identify areas for improvement within the employee lifecycle and HRIS data, offering solutions to enhance documentation and organization. You are excited about working from the office 3-4 days per week. Ideally you have gained experience in HR before, such as working student roles or first working experiences.
