Day to day as a Senior F5 Network Engineer
Cadence Coalition is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed F5 BIG-IP Engineer to join our team in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization at US AFRICOM in Stuttgart, Germany. This role requires relocation OCONUS and involves collaborating with Network and Systems engineers to configure and maintain BIG-IP F5 systems within a multi-enclave environment. You will be integral in supporting a secure DMZ gateway through route domains, F5 firewall (WAF), and F5 Application firewall (ASM), while also utilizing Sec-DNS for global load balancing with F5's GTM.
Key Responsibilities:
o Guide the modification and expansion of F5 infrastructure
o Provide ongoing network support to resolve availability issues, tuning performance, and contributing to the design and implementation of F5 appliances
o Respond to break-fix incidents
o Work closely with system and network administrators to ensure seamless functionality
Qualifications:
o Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
o BA/BS degree or 15 years of recent relevant experience
o 3+ years of experience supporting F5 appliances in a large enterprise IT environment
o Meet or exceed DoD 8570.01 compliance with Security+ certification or equivalent
o CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification
o LTM (Local Traffic Manager) or GTM (Global Traffic Manager) certification
