How you’ll make an impact:
1. Security Leadership: Apply your extensive knowledge of security practices and SecDevOps experience to develop and deploy robust, secure, and innovative hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions.
2. Collaborative Team Member: Join our growing and dynamic team and play a crucial role, working across all security domains to strengthen and advance our company's cybersecurity posture.
3. Engineer Leadership: Inspire and guide engineers to securely design, develop, and operate services, while maintaining a strong focus on productivity.
4. Security Advocacy: Act as a security ambassador by raising awareness and embedding a security-first mindset throughout the company.
5. Strategic Insight: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s business needs and operations to identify cloud security requirements and shape an effective security strategy.
What you'll need to thrive:
1. Experience: Over 5 years of proven expertise as a Security SRE, SecDevOps, or Cyber Security Specialist, with a focus on secure software development practices in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations.
4. Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java, Kotlin, Go, Python or Rust.
5. Security Principles: Good understanding of web application security principles, including the OWASP Top Ten and secure coding practices.
6. IT Security: Comprehensive understanding of office IT security principles and familiarity with security tools used to detect, monitor, and enforce IT security.
7. Policy Implementation: Ability to implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
8. Assessments: Expertise in conducting security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing.
9. Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to address complex security challenges collaboratively.
Stand out with:
1. Cloud Security: Exceptional knowledge of cloud security, preferably with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
2. Hands-On Experience: Practical experience as a SecDevOps-/DevSecOps-/DevOps- engineer, Developer.
3. Certificates: Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), CompTIA Cloud+.
4. GRC Implementation: Expertise in implementing security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) structures, especially ISO/IEC 27x and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
5. Akamai Proficiency: Skilled in using Akamai security products.
6. Industry Experience: Prior experience in the travel industry or familiarity with its specific security considerations is a plus.
