Applications are considered on a rolling basis Heide On-site Job Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-orientated (Senior) Project Cost Engineer for our Factory Program in Northern Germany. The factory will be built in multiple phases over 5 years and the factory represents a multi-billion Euro investment project. As the (Senior) Project Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the financial aspects of our major capital project in Germany. Your expertise in cost engineering, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis will be pivotal in keeping the project on track and within budget. Collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and suppliers is essential to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Cost Planning and Budgeting: • Develop and maintain comprehensive TIC project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts. • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost drivers and ensure alignment with project objectives. Cost Control: • Implement effective cost control measures to monitor and track project expenses and prevent cost overruns and ensure project objectives are met. • Analyse project cost trends, identify potential issues and provide recommendations for cost optimization. • Work with project teams to develop cost-reduction strategies and implement cost-saving initiatives. Financial Reporting: • Prepare regular financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete analysis. • Present financial data to project stakeholders and senior management, highlighting key cost-related insights and risks. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and project reporting requirements. Vendor and Supplier Management: • Collaborate with procurement and contract management teams to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts. • Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contract terms, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. • Review invoices and payments to suppliers, verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Risk Management: • Identify potential financial risks and uncertainties related to the project's cost structure. • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential cost-related challenges. • Maintain a risk register and ensure proactive risk management.
