Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) for DLT systems

We consider distributed ledger technology (DLT) to be a key component of digital systems. In an innovative environment that encourages experimentation and maintains flat hierarchies, you demonstrate your DevOps expertise and play an instrumental role in the Deutsche Bundesbank's digital transformation. As part of our new DLT team, we are looking for two motivated DevOps engineers.
* You will be responsible for building the infrastructure, providing and maintaining full stack services (back-end and/or front-end integration systems and associated interfaces) for a DLT platform.
* You will also configure, integrate, and deploy DLT services in the private, hybrid, and public clouds.
* You will develop and implement staging concepts, having joint-responsibility for planning and providing development, test and production environments for DLT solutions.
* In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring secure connections to existing Bundesbank IT systems and to external partners.
* You will coordinate and participate in exchanges with internal and external experts from various stakeholder groups.
* Finally, you will also contribute with your expertise to an agile, interdisciplinary and highly customer-centric team.
* Bachelor's degree or comparable degree in computer science or from a degree programme with a focus on IT engineering or comparable knowledge based on many years of professional experience
* Many years of experience in IT engineering (DevOps or platform engineering)
* Experience with development, test, and production environments, including planning, deploying and maintaining them (staging concepts) in cloud environments
* Several years of experience in connecting, integrating, and managing APIs to back-end and front-end applications
* Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and associated tools (e.g. GitLab)
* Experience with container technologies (Docker) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and automation of infrastructure processes
* Familiarity with security concepts for DevOps and using appropriate security and scanning tools
* Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture or data streaming solutions
* Several years of experience using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Golang, Rust, Python, TypeScript, C++, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, SQL)
* Familiarity with Web3 and blockchain technologies would be advantageous
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes would be advantageous
* Experience with application development in the area of distributed ledger technology (DLT) is desirable
* Experience with protocols based on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is also advantageous
* Strong ability to work as part of a team combined with a high degree of commitment and independence
* Good command of German and very good command of English (written and spoken)
