A vacancy for a Stress Engineer (d/f/m) for Cabin Components has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Hamburg Finkenwerder at the earliest possible start date.
About the Team
You will join our department Cabin Stress. We are a team of 20 highly engaged and diverse engineers who take care of all new cabin developments for all aircraft types. As our new team member we welcome you to join us in progressing on interesting and challenging projects as well as contributing to our digital future.
Our main responsibility is to ensure the structural integrity of all cabin components for the safety of passengers. Furthermore, we enable the integration of cabin components into the fuselage.
Minimum qualifications
* You are educated to degree level in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* You bring experiences in stress analysis with knowledge of sandwich composite as well as metallic structures, analysis techniques and their limitations
* You have advanced knowledge in FEM modelling such as Hyperworks, Abaqus, LS-Dyna
* You show an IT affinity with first experiences in data analysis
* You have strong communication and negotiation skills to interface with suppliers, subcontractors, internal teams and aircraft authorities
* You are able to work on details while keeping the big picture in mind
* You are very pragmatic and solution-oriented/customer-focused mindset
* Negotiation level of English and intermediate level of German
Preferred qualifications
* Preferably you have cabin components experience
* Ideally you bring knowledge about cabin certification including dynamic certification of seats
* Programming skills (Python, SQL) Modeling skills (SysML, UML)
Your Responsibilites
* Ensure the stress qualification and certification of cabin components for serial customization and new development
* Be responsible for the supplier management including technical coordination, document review and test witnessing of certification tests
* Create test definitions and support in cabin component tests
* Perform feasibility studies and write specifications
* Ensure the customers' continued airworthiness and In-Service Support for operational aircraft (definition of short-term solutions of aircraft-in-service-problems and preparation of evidence for repair)
* Execute the technical signature delegation for cabin stress components
* Frequently travel for business approx. once per month within Europe and worldwide
* Programming API and Algorithm to manage Stress Data for Cabin Module Simulation and Integrated Platform
* Analyse Cabin Module integration and reaction in layout context
* create Cabin Stress Models in SysML Products and Processes to enable MBSE applications
