Our department "Responsibility for batteries production" is responsible for the production of batteries for plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles at all Mercedes-Benz battery plants in Europe. For example, we produce batteries for the GLE & GLC as well as the EQE and EQS.
Our team consists of highly motivated colleagues who look forward to your support. We manage all complex production processes of the battery (e.g., laser welding, dispensing, helium leak tests, inline measurement, intelligent camera systems, electrical function tests). In addition, work safety and personnel coordination for the Center PT/BPR are integrated into the team.
Your responsibilities include:
* Participating in the planning, acceptance, and commissioning of production facilities
* Defining process parameters, release, and validation processes
* Stabilizing and further developing production processes to achieve sustainable improvements in efficiency and quality
* Representing departmental interests in production planning and R&D committees
* Providing strong support, particularly for screw and joining technology processes

* Working with state-of-the-art technologies and continuously developing processes in close collaboration with process engineering and development

Qualifications
Ideally, you qualify for this job with:
* A degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or natural sciences
* Initial experience in production, development, or quality management
* Basic knowledge of statistical methods for process monitoring, machine capability investigations, and systematic problem-solving methods
* Good knowledge of German and English
* Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
* Strong team skills, motivation, and independence as well as enjoying new challenges
* A high degree of flexibility, as each battery generation requires new processes
