Throughout the systems' life cycle, from feasibility studies to integration and characterization, you will play a crucial role in a variety of tasks that define the success of space missions. Key Responsibilities: Technical Solutions: Elaborate, develop, and tailor technical solutions in line with customer requirements and allocated budgets. Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team, with a focus on achieving the following outputs: Definition and justification of focal plane system architecture. Designing interface concepts and specifications. Development and test logic definition. Conduct various design trade-offs, including thermal, structural, mechanical, optical, electrical, and verification aspects. Coordinate related performance analyses. Provide technical guidance and control of subcontractors. Documentation: Create and maintain relevant technical design, requirements, and performance documentation to ensure a clear and organized workflow. Integration and Verification: Perform Focal Plane System integration and verification, with a specific emphasis on electro-optical characterisation. Technology Development: Contribute to technology advancements in the context of focal plane systems and detector technologies. Customer Engagement: Support and conclude technical discussions with the customer, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in physics or electronics, preferably holding a PhD. Strong conceptual, analytical, and organizational skills, enabling you to tackle complex engineering challenges. Effective communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a problem-solving attitude. First-hand experience in the technical coordination of multidisciplinary and international engineering teams. Fluency in spoken and written English Experience in working with focal plane systems for space applications, particularly in the design or hardware phase, with a focus on electro-optical characterisation, is a valuable asset.
