We work with international corporations in the field of communications technology and Silicon Photonics.
Tasks
We are looking for an engineer to join our customer solutions team in Karlsruhe. In this role, your main focus will be order fulfillment and pre-sales technical support, ensuring smooth processes from customer inquiry to production and product delivery.
You will work as an interface between customer interaction, product development, and production. You will help to execute and optimize workflows and ensure customer satisfaction. With access to a state-of-the-art laboratory and cleanroom environment, including a high-precision 3D micro-printer, you will also play a key role in shaping manufacturing processes. Your Key Responsibilities
· Manage order fulfillment, including tracking and operational process optimization from initial customer request to final accounting
· Serve as the technical point of contact for customer inquiries, helping to provide the best solutions to our customers
· Work closely with the R&D team to develop and validate new product functionalities
· Identify and implement process automation solutions to improve efficiency
· Ensure seamless supply-chain management for customized photonic products
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field
· At least 2 years of industrial experience
· Knowledge of CAD design (Autodesk Fusion, Inventor, or similar)
· Experience working with international enterprises
· Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or any similar administrative software tools
· Understanding of wave optics and optical fibers
· Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field
· More than 3 years of industry or project management experience
· Hands-on experience in research or product development, preferably in an industrial setting
· Experience in process automation using Python or similar tools
· Strong understanding of wave optics and optical communications
· Experience in organizing supply-chain operations
