Virtual Infrastructure Engineer

Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced virtual infrastructure engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Command needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience and strong engineering background in design, implementation and migration of Data Center technologies including Cisco NEXUS products, Cisco UCS, Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, NETAPP storage solutions/SAN configurations, FCOE, VMWARE, ESXi, SNAP mirroring to perform data center infrastructure network engineering and design on a geographically dispersed enterprise network support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll be directly responsible for providing engineering efforts in the lifecycle of projects to include documentation, design, build, integrate, transition, implementation, test, and training for transitioned to IT Operations Management.
You’ll apply your expertise in cloud virtualization and virtual networks, Citrix VDI, Cisco NEXUS products as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the Command evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

You Have:
1. Knowledge of following and implementation of STIG requirements
2. Ability to document system process and architecture
3. Secret clearance
4. HS diploma or GED and 11+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining the virtual aspects of IT infrastructure, Associate's degree and 7 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining the virtual aspects of IT infrastructure, or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining the virtual aspects of IT infrastructure
5. DoD 8570 IAT II certification
Nice If You Have:
6. Experience deploying Cisco ACI and HCI solutions
7. Experience with software defined networking
8. Experience with Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
9. Top Secret clearance
10. Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or technology field
11. CompTIA CASP+ certification
12. Citrix certification
13. ITIL v3 – Foundation certification
14. CCIE Data Center certification
15. VMWare NSX certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
