Primary responsibilities of this role include:
1. Development of the custom GUI platform for the IDAIR cabin management and in-flight entertainment systems on VIP aircraft.
2. Implementation of communication protocols to control third-party cabin equipment.
3. Configuring the system; participating in system testing; building and releasing software installation packages
4. Loading software on test racks or aircraft, troubleshooting, analyzing, documenting and resolving open issues.
5. Developing estimates, including identifying and mitigating technical and schedule risks
6. Establishing and maintaining deep knowledge of the technologies and systems to be a proficient technical leader able to effectively communicate with all levels of customers, suppliers, and management.

7. C and C++ software development of embedded Linux TCP/IP applications and services.
8. Qt/QML development
9. Angular and TypeScript development
10. Implementing RS-232/485 serial protocols
11. Integrating and troubleshooting complex embedded Linux TCP/IP applications, services, and systems
We currently work in an environment using GStreamer, Ruby, Adobe XD, XML and WireShark for network troubleshooting.
On the formal side you bring:
12. University degree preferably in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
13. Minimum 7 years of experience as software engineer or at least 3 years as Senior S/W engineer
14. Experience working with technical suppliers
15. Language skills in English (proficient), German is an advantage
