KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
* Work in the Propulsion RAMS Team in the development of technical documentation to support the safety demonstration of the traction and/or the energy storage subsystems.
* Your technical knowledge of electrical propulsion technology allows you to support the definition of Safety Plan, Safety Requirements Specification, Hazard Analysis, demonstration (Safety Case) and homologation of high-performance batteries for railway applications in innovative projects.
* Curate safety related traction and/or battery related knowledge within the Propulsion Safety-Team.
* Align the use of safety standards together with team and/or company external partners.
* Supervision of suppliers and their delivered products.
* Cooperation and exchange with external assessors and customers.
* Participation in Change Control Boards (CCBs) with a focus on safety aspects.
* Ensuring the quality of the RAMS deliverables and drive their acceptance by the customer (internal or external) within the limits of Alstom Transport commitments.
* Supporting other relevant teams (design, hardware, software, validation etc..) in the definition of appropriate pocesses and measures to deliver safe products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field, master’s degree with sufficient experience is an advantage.
* Deep knowledge of battery technology for electrical propulsion, ideally for railway.
* Ideally 3 years’ experience in functional safety (acc. to EN 50126, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, etc.), or the willingness to learn railway safety until becoming a company-wide trusted expert.
* English operational in read/writing and technical meetings. German language is advantageous. French or other european languages are a plus but not expected.
* Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
* Open-minded to work in an international and diverse team.
* Experience with safety analysis, safety demonstration methods (FME(C)A, FTA …) and tools is advantageous. Tools and Methods: Office, DOORS, FTA, FMEA
* Willingness to Travel: up to 5% of time.
