Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Credit to join our dynamic team in Duesseldorf, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions for credit risk assessment and management.
Your key tasks will be as follows:
* Design, develop, and implement complex software systems for credit risk modeling and analysis
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns
* Optimize existing software systems for improved performance and scalability
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
* Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in financial software development
* Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards in all software solutions
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
* 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in financial services or credit-related software development
* Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
* Extensive experience with credit risk modeling and analysis
* In-depth knowledge of financial software development and banking processes
* Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their application in financial services
* Strong understanding of database systems and SQL
* Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices
* Expertise in credit risk assessment techniques and financial regulations
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong analytical and organizational abilities
* Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently

* Comprehensive understanding of credit processes, products, and regulations

* Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a particular emphasis on abstract thinking
* Native or near-native German language proficiency
* In-depth knowledge of the banking industry, including products and processes
