The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will focus on developing a partnership with assigned client business functions that facilitates open communication with leadership, advancement of the associate value proposition and educates associates on how they contribute to enterprise-wide goals. This role owns the coordination and implementation of HR processes, policies and programs regarding recruitment, retention, organization development, talent development, associate engagement, on-boarding, succession planning, management training, compensation & benefits, HR projects and act as a liaison to payroll.
This position is part of the European HR Operations Team located throughout Europe and will be on-site with the ability to commute to our sites in Wijchen and Krefeld. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Human Resources EU Operations Team and report to the Director of HR. In addition, the HRBP will support HR initiatives designed to build a compliant, competitive and an effective HR function, leading HR processes, initiatives, and day to day activities. Partner with business leaders within the EU Operations function on planning and implementing reorganizations, and culture/change initiatives. Lead special HR projects to achieve desired outcomes. Drive key HR metrics, analyze data, problem solve where vital to ensure HR organizational effectiveness. Design and develop HR policies according to legal norms and ISO-standards. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Performance & Talent Management : to ensure effective and timely talent management processes (performance and development objectives, succession planning and talent movement). Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent. Lead the organizational review process that evaluates structure, competency, knowledge, and talent gaps and develop specific strategies to fill the gaps.
2. Talent Acquisition: Partner with business leaders to ensure effective, timely talent acquisition and effective on-boarding of new hires. Champion the company’s values and culture and continue the company’s ability to attract, engage and retain a high-performance team which can lead growth. Drive a talent acquisition and management strategy that integrates succession planning methodology for key contributor and management positions.
3. Employee Engagement: Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent. Understand associate needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and associates. Sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement.
4. Employee Relations : Support compliance with local labor code. Follow all corporate and local policies including the Ethics & Compliance Program. Assure employee data and records are accurately maintained. Collaborate with and advise business managers on investigations and disciplinary process regarding employee relations and performance related issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive employee relations matters.
5. Compensation & Benefits/Payroll : Partner with HR Corporate Compensation Team and leadership efficiently leveraging and implementing total reward programs and processes including merit review; equity planning; bonus planning; promotions; special adjustments etc. Administer Associate benefit plans and programs i.e. healthcare and pension. Work closely with payroll, submitting all vital data to process regular monthly payroll payments and provides necessary assistance for other payroll matters (tax filings, etc.).
The essential requirements of the job include:
6. Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of work experience or Master's degree in field with 2 years experience
7. 3 years of prior experience in a Human Resource Business Partner/Generalist role, preferably in a international or US multinational organization. Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trusted partnerships at all levels.
8. Experience independently managing Employee relations matters
9. Language Skills: Fluent in English and German and Dutch a plus
10. Understanding and application of Dutch employment law
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
11. Experience in working in a highly regulated/ Medical Device Company
12. Lean and continuous improvement experience such as problem solving tools and or other DBS or lean tools.
On site Presence:
This position will be required to be on site a minimum of 3 days per week between our Wijchen Site in the Netherlands and our Krefeld Site in Germany.
