Objectives of the PositionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAE Application Support Engineer to join our team. As a CAE Application Support Engineer, you will provide technical support for the SmartPlant P&ID and Smart Instrumentation applications. Your primary responsibility will be to assist users in navigating and utilizing these applications effectively while ensuring data integrity and quality. You will also be involved in running SQL queries to retrieve and manage data stored in Oracle databases.Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key ActivitiesApplication Support:Provide first-level support for SmartPlant P&ID and Smart Instrumentation applications to end-users.Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.Database Management:Utilize Oracle SQL to run queries that extract, manipulate, and analyze data within the databases.Assist in the management of database performance and integrity by monitoring queries and optimizing where necessary.Maintain documentation for database queries and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.Programming Support:Apply basic knowledge of C# or Python to assist in scripting and automation tasks related to data manipulation and application processes.Collaborate with the development team to identify opportunities for automation within current workflows.User Training and Guidance:Conduct training sessions for new users to familiarize them with SmartPlant applications and database usage.Develop user guides and documentation to assist users in understanding application functionalities.Quality Assurance:Ensure data accuracy and completeness by regularly auditing P&ID and instrumentation data.Work with project teams to implement best practices for data entry and management.Collaboration:Liaise with project managers and engineering teams to understand application requirements and enhancements.Participate in meetings and discussions to gather user feedback and suggest improvements.Job RequirementsInstrumentation Engineer/Computer ScienceUp to 1 year working experienceFamiliarity with SmartPlant P&ID and Smart Instrumentation applications (preferred but not mandatory).Basic knowledge of Oracle/SQL databases and ability to run queries.Foundational understanding of programming in C# or Python.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
