Our business is rapidly expanding, and we require motivated Customer Support Integration engineers to closely coordinate with our business development and sales teams to help us capture new business.

We are looking for a highly motivated Customer Support Integration engineer who is a self-starter with the ability to build solid working relationships with management and staff across the organization. The Customer Support Integration engineer will be a vital component supporting sales and business development activities and will lead the technical implementation of Mynaric’s Laser Communication products and value-added solutions.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround, team-based work environment and have the ability to handle multiple projects – supporting customers with a high level of skill, utilizing a wide range of engineering knowledge and a good technology base. Individuals who currently hold an active U.S. Federal Government or Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the Secret Level or is preferred.
Based in Hawthorne, California, we are expanding our team with key strategic hires, to help focus on our go-to-market objectives in the U.S. Our key markets range from the space/satellite market represented by constellations of various sizes to ground-to-air and air-to-air Laser Communication platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical expertise and customer satisfaction to customers who integrate Mynaric’s Laser Communication products with their own systems
* Provide onsite technical support and training to customers
* Act as the first technical interface and consult with our customers in the selection of products
* Participate in strategic business development initiatives by supporting customer calls and visits
* Engage with customers to understand their product requirements
* Build strong relationships with customers and sales staff to deliver best practice of technical solutions
* Work with internal development and test teams to communicate customer feedback to improve products
* Provide technical support to provide the best in product design and implementation to achieve maximum customer satisfaction
* Support test teams with field testing across various applicable platforms (Spacecraft, Aircraft, Ground Vehicles, and Testbed Environments)
* Establish and maintain customer relationships via in-person customer visits and virtual meetings.
What you bring with you
Requirements:
* Extensive experience (10+ years) in the aerospace industry as a test engineer or Customer Support Integration engineer working with test equipment and/or optical hardware. Prior military experience and/or experience working in a customer supporting role is a bonus.
Or 5+ years of experience and a B.S. (preferably M.S.) in one of the following engineering degrees:
* Electrical Engineering
* Optical Engineering
* System Engineering
* Test and Integration Engineering
* Aerospace Engineering
* Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based on a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
* Experienced in the use of electrical, networking, and optical test equipment as well as data acquisition systems
* Experience with embedded systems and Linux (a plus)
* Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, software, and optical systems
* Understand and follow electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
* Good organizational and documentation skills such as in writing easy to follow and detailed testing procedures and documenting issues
* Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal, and listening skills. Ability to translate technical language to layman’s terms
* Ability to travel for up to 25-50% of time, international included.
Desired Skills:
* Experience working with Free-Space Optical or RF communication equipment
* Working knowledge of UAV or autonomous vehicles and equipment integration
* Working knowledge of spacecraft integration, testing, and operation
* Hands-on experience working with customers, delivering technology solutions for aerospace applications
* Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability with attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills and the ability to analyze information and make sound observations and make recommendations quickly
* Strong interpersonal skills, including an aptitude for building relationships, understanding team dynamics, taking initiative, and solving problems
* Accustomed to adjusting to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last-minute requirements, and extended hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines
Additional Requirements:
* Available to work extended hours when needed based on-site operational needs; flexibility required
* Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, flashing lights, heat, cold, rain, and noise
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and/or ladders regularly throughout the day, work in confined environments, or challenging positions
* To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
* The capability to hold or receive DOD Security Clearance (already holding Clearance is a plus!)
