Your expertise will be instrumental in driving and refining our hardware strategy. Our Objectives and your Role: IoT & Embedded Systems Development: Design, build, and integrate IoT devices for commercial or industrial applications, centered around vision-based automated license plate recognition (ALPR) or customer interaction (digital signage, digital access control systems), ensuring seamless performance and reliability. Hardware Integration: Lead the integration of hardware components such as credit card terminals, coin changers, thermal printers, and sensors into Point of Sale (kiosk) systems, optimizing for functionality and user experience. Linux-Based Systems Management: Ensure the smooth operation and security of embedded systems running on Linux, providing ongoing system support and troubleshooting. Edge Computing Deployment: Implement and manage software deployments on edge computing devices, ensuring the system is scalable and efficient. Data Analysis & Optimization: Analyze large datasets generated by IoT device fleets to identify opportunities for system improvement and integration refinement. Collaborative Development : Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and innovation. Project Management: Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of IoT projects, from initial concept through to successful delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met. Your Expertise, Skills & Mindset: You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a comparable field. You are proficient in software development for edge computing devices. You possess advanced Python skills (C++ is a plus). You have experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Ansible. You have experience with AWS IoT Core/ Greengrass, or other IoT fleet management solutions. You are familiar with simulation tools and test procedures to validate hardware designs. You are a creative problem solver who applies innovative approaches to hardware development. You work with precision and attention to detail. You have outstanding diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
