Job Description

Your role:
1. As our Systems Test Engineer - Electromagnetic compliance, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing our products meet and exceed electromagnetic compatibility standards for international markets
2. You are a part of the Hardware Test Engineering organization within our Hospital Patient Monitoring business. You will have a direct reporting line to one of the subgroup leaders located in Böblingen, Germany. You’ll join forces with a collaborative and internationally diverse team dedicated to innovation and excellence in medical technology
3. Leading EMC Compliance Efforts: Plan, design, and conduct comprehensive EMC testing in accordance with IEC 60601-1-2 and other relevant EMC standards for medical devices in collaboration with external laboratories
4. Overseeing Test Execution: Develop and execute test protocols, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and timely reporting of results
5. Cooperating with external Test Houses: Cooperate with accredited EMC test laboratories, acting as the main technical liaison to ensure clarity, precision, and compliance
6. Documentation and Reporting: Author and maintain detailed test plans, results, and regulatory documentation to support product submissions and audits
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, development, and safety engineering teams to embed EMC considerations throughout the product lifecycle
8. Project Management: Balance multiple projects and priorities, delivering on-time results in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment

You're the right fit if
10. You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Electronics
11. You have 5+ years of experience in an EMC testing role in a highly regulated environment, preferably within the medical device industry
12. You have experience with electronics design (preferred)
13. You can demonstrate knowledge of EMC regulatory requirements, such as IEC 60601-1-2, FCC, CISPR, and other global standards
14. You have hands-on experience with EMC test equipment, procedures, and mitigation techniques
15. You have a proven ability to manage projects, deadlines, and coordinate multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
16. You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders. Additional language skills in German are preferred.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
