Process Engineer Biofuels and Green Gases (m/f/d)
We invite you to bring your expertise within Power-to-X technologies, process design of Power-to-X plants and the production of sustainable Biofuels into play as you contribute to develop optimised, sustainable, innovative and efficient design solutions for our Clients. To succeed in this role you must have proven experience in process design within the power-to-X field or Biofuels sector as well as flair for feasibility and early phase studies. Experience within electrolysis, synthesis, pyrolysis or gasification processes for e.g., Hydrogen, methanol, SAF, ammonia or synthesis gas will be highly valued. Carbon Capture (direct/indirect) is also needed to meet the goals set out for sustainable fuels.
You will join our H2 and Power-to-X department
As our new Process Engineer/ Technical Project Lead (m/f/d) you will be part of a team of other process engineers and discipline engineers located in Germany and abroad. That tackle lots of interesting, challenging and varied projects within the Energy sector and participating in the transition to greener fuels e.g. Hydrogen, methanol and ammonia. We are a busy and energetic team with a positive mindset always looking for the next challenge. We work both with early phase studies (Feasibility, Concept and FEED) but also on detailed design projects, mainly for onshore facilities within Hydrogen and Power to X technologies, Gas and LNG and projects within CO2 transport and storage.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
* Preparation of process related documentation for Concept or FEED studies; including process simulations, Heat & Material balance, Process and Utility Flow Diagrams (PFDs and UFDs), Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (PIDs) and system descriptions (process and utility systems)
* Design calculations and specification of process equipment, such as reactors, gas treatment, separators, compressors, valves and pumps and flares for feedstock preparation, fermentation, distillation and final product purification
* CAPEX Cost Engineering and supplier management
* Integrate sustainability principles into the production process, such as minimizing waste and energy consumption.
* Specialist studies to define feasible and suitable solutions or concepts for various process plants
* Manage and coordinate design reviews as well as HAZOP and HAZID
* Work closely with the Project Manager as the Technical project lead.
* Coordinate with Engineering Disciplines required.
* Writing of Standard operating procedures and coordinating with Vendor related SOP
* Possibility to be involved in site supervision and assistance in commissioning and start-up.
