Hauptaufgaben As a professional (graduate) engineer is responsible for the planning grand review of the projects and studies prepared by in-house personnel Engineer (AE) firms in the field of electrical engineering. Projects are of a particularly high degree of difficulty and responsibility involving complex features and non-standard systems. As a professional engineer in the field of electrical engineering designs projects for construction, extension, modification, and rehabilitation of electrical systems for US Army facilities. These include power and light distribution systems, transformer stations, stationary and mobile generating plants power for heating plants, intricate security power supply requirements, remote sites, computer systems and automatic data processing systems. Analysis and design are based on a thorough and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and the scientific and economic aspects if this specialized field. Develops studies and alternate solutions to the problems, preliminary and final designs, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Analyzes the various methods of solution from technical and economic standpoints and renders final decision on the most feasible solution. Evaluates manufacturers proposed products and devices and determines acceptability for use as standard throughout the command. Provides technical advice and recommendations as required during construction. Projects include major electrical systems with funds originating from CMA, NAF, and other special programs.
