We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineering Manager for our Signalling team located in Mannheim, Germany.
As a Project Engineering Manager you need to ensure the successful management, planning and execution of customer projects.
The Project Engineering Manager is a member of the Project Core team, responsible for all engineering tasks within a customer project.
In this role you must lead the technical core team of a project and coordinate all activities.
You are responsible for the execution of engineering tasks within a customer project in time and budget and act as an interface between the technical core team and the project management, the approval authorities and the customer.
Responsibilities:
• Planning and scheduling of all technical work packages needed for the execution and homologation of customer projects, release planning
• Managing of the technical core team, synchronisation of project tasks, dates, time lines and budget
• Represent the project regarding engineering towards the customer and homologation authorities
• Act as an interface towards the development department, change management, evaluate No-Conformity Reports, Feature requests,
• Risk and opportunity management
Qualifications:
• Relevant academic background, Master of Science in Engineering or systems science or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge in railway signalling processes and solutions.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations (ERTMS/ETCS)
• Experience in Requirements Management and traceability (e.g. DOORS) is a plus.
• Desired competencies: customer orientation, communication, team player, planning, drive for results, decision making.
• Good documentation and presentation skills using MS Office tools
• Fluent in English and German
