The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (MPI CEC) in Mülheim an der Ruhr studies fundamental chemical processes for energy storage in chemical molecules.
The NFDI project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, aims to advance the development of the digital infrastructure. To this end, the data from an electronic laboratory notebook, the measuring instruments, and existing data storage devices will be stored and managed in a data lake at the institute level according to the FAIR principle (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable). In addition, a cross-institutional interface to similar systems is desired. This will be developed in collaboration with the NFDI4Cat consortium.
