Job Title: EU Automation Engineer
Location: Nuremberg (onsite)
Work Schedule: 40 hours weekly
Responsibilities:
1. Design, specify, implement, and program advanced plant process control and automation systems to optimize safety, quality, yield, and availability.
2. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary engineering and operations team to deploy automation and process control solutions aimed at maximizing the performance of process equipment.
3. Apply automation and controls engineering principles to significantly expand PLC and SCADA capabilities through thoughtful design of hardware, software, and instrumentation, particularly aimed at increasing throughput and yield.
4. Take ownership of process improvement efforts through advanced automated control engineering techniques such as PID loop tuning, software filtering, unique sensors, and instrumentation.
Qualifications:
5. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial or Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent field of study
6. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
7. Hands-on knowledge of Siemens PLC and SCADA software
8. Business fluent in German and English
