We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and play a key role in developing next-generation damper systems for wind turbine towers. As part of our commitment to enhancing product reliability, you will be responsible for advancing damper concepts, solving field challenges, and driving innovation in tower vibration control. Your expertise will directly contribute to reducing processing times for field and quality support while integrating new insights into the development process.
YOUR TASKS:
1. Develop damper solutions for existing wind turbine towers, ensuring efficient issue resolution and stakeholder management.
2. Design and optimize damper concepts and systems for the next generation of wind turbine towers.
3. Conduct testing, field analysis, and measurement data evaluation to improve damper performance.
4. Oversee the end-to-end development process, from initial concept to on-site installation in wind turbines.
5. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality damper solutions and seamless integration into tower structures.
YOUR PROFILE:
6. M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7. Deep expertise in mechanical vibrations and machine dynamics.
8. Experience in component and system design & calculation (a plus).
9. Knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM) and Multi-Body Simulation (MBS) is beneficial.
10. Programming skills in Python (a plus).
11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a structured and systematic manner.
12. Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
13. Fluent English; skills in German and Spanish are a plus.
14. 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
