Data Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking a for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with extensive experience in Databricks and a foundational understanding of retail and online data. In this role, you will design, develop, and manage ETL processes, optimize data processing, and build scalable pipelines and models for business intelligence (BI) processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders across a global environment to drive data-driven decisions.
Your shoes to fill:
* Implementing and managing robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various systems (Salesforce, warehouse & order management systems) into Databricks, Snowflake or similar unified data platforms.
* Design, develop, and maintain data lakehouse solutions that support D2C commerce and owned retail operations.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance) to gather requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs.
* Ensuring data quality and integrity by applying data governance practices and conducting regular data audits.
* Staying updated on industry trends in data warehousing, D2C commerce, and analytics technologies to implement innovative solutions.
* Running and documenting data-driven projects.
* Troubleshooting and resolving development, testing, and production issues.
Your walk of life:
* 3+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or a similar role.
* Strong experience in designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines to support BI initiatives.
* Experience with Databricks or Snowflake set up, maintenance and development.
* Experienced in recommending process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability.
* Proficient in using Google Cloud Platform services, particularly for data warehousing solutions.
* Familiarity with workflow engines and understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards in a global setup.
* Strong Experience in a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript or similar.Advanced knowledge of SQL.
* Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and practices, with the ability to create complex data structures that align with business needs.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide support across global functions.
* Team player with strong intercultural competencies for a global environment.
* Proactive, open, and communicative personality as well as passion for digital transformation & e-commerce.
* Ability to work independently & structured, with high reliability and willingness to take on challenges.
