For our Sales Team in Germany we are looking for a Application Engineer (m/f/d) to support our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Applications Engineer will support the adoption of Advanced Energy power conversion solutions at our customers at all stages of the engagement process from presales activity to postproduction/installation support The Applications Engineer will provide technical proposals and specification reviews for both standard and modified/custom designed products Applications Engineering support comes in many forms: AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, on-site customer qualification & debug support, etc The Applications Engineer will establish and maintain technical relationships with customers and distributors, striving to be considered a trusted advisor for Power conversion solutions Through developing engineering relationships with our customers, the Applications Engineer will identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs that arenu2019t served by the current portfolio to the Advanced Energy product development. The Applications Engineeru2019s input is critical in definition of new products and roadmap As a trusted customer advocate, the Applications Engineer must have the confidence and persuasive skills to earn the respect of engineering leaders both internally and with the customer The Applications Engineeru2019s technical perspective heavily influences the sales strategy EXPERIENCE / SKILLS: Essential: Technical education at 3-5 years in electronic engineering, and/or demonstrated industry experience Relevant professional experience in related engineering field SCR Power Controller or similar Power Controller products Experience in a customer-facing role, such as field applications or business development, with direct customer interaction Ability to work independently in a flexible and challenging environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, across teams and with customers Ability to present technical proposals, provide product trainings, and present at industry relevant public conferences Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering and technical product issues using sound judgment Highly proficient in spoken and written German (C1/C2) and good English language skills (B2/C1) WE WELCOME: Working knowledge of high-tech industrial applications Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in related fields desirable WORK ENVIRONMENT: Workplace in either a local AE office in Raunheim or Warstein-Belecke Germany.
