In this role, you will join a world class team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers responsible for further development and enhancement of the globally launched Robotic Assisted Surgery platform within the Surgical Operating unit:

A Day in the Life
• Demonstrate organizational talent and technical aptitude/understanding of Surgical Robotics systems and applications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the drive to succeed in a matrix organization.
• Define, plan, organize and coordinate V&V activities with teams across multiple sites in accordance FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage and develop software test talent within the organization and work with a cross-functional team to foster synergy in day-to-day operation.
• Lead in forecasting, effort estimation, resource & test planning, training, execution, and release activities.
• Aptitude for continuous improvement, identify and implement industry standard software test technology, methods, and tools.
• Well versed in different test development methodologies include Agile to enable breaking barriers across the organization.
• Oversee definition and implementation of different software testing techniques to increase test coverage.
• Lead the team to extend test automation. Use state-of-the-art Test Automation technology such as Model-in-the-Loop testing, in robotic testing.
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering), with 7 years of manager experience in relevant industry, or advanced degree with at least 5 years of manager experience in relevant industry.
• A minimum of 10 years of software verification experience (with a bachelor´s degree), or plus 7 years related experience with an advanced degreed.
• Expert knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance.
• Thorough understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
• Strong understanding of good documentation practices, various off the shelf test management systems
• Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs.
• Ability to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.
• Great communication and leadership skills.
Nice to Haves
• Experienced test automation in robotics or related industry.
• Experience with a big company with matrix structures, having already worked with cross functional teams using Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
• Ability to work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers when discovering, documenting, and resolving integration issues.
