As a result of this growth, we are looking to recruit a Team Lead for our Junior Engineers. As a Team Lead for our Junior Engineers, you will oversee two teams of 12 junior engineers operating in 24/7 shifts across our Munich and Nuremberg datacenters. This role involves close collaboration with datacenter management and site engineers to ensure optimal performance of our technical installations and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Ensure the timely and proper execution of activities for the datacenter’s equipment, adhering to all applicable processes and procedures. Team Management: Manage working schedules for junior engineers, ensuring adequate coverage and shift balance. Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and enforce operational procedures for NOC operators to enhance efficiency and compliance. Documentation: Maintain and organize all documentation related to the team’s roles and responsibilities. Training: Provide, oversee, and track training programs to ensure the continuous development of junior engineers. Incident Reporting: Monitor and report incidents following established protocols and standards. Communication: Keep local management informed about activities, incidents, and significant updates. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and datacenter management to align on goals and priorities. Performance Management: Conduct regular documented one-on-one meetings with team members to set, monitor, and track goals. Emergency Coverage: Be available to cover shifts during emergencies if required. Primary Focus: The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing two teams monitoring the technical installations and infrastructure of two datacenters, ensuring 24/7/365 operational reliability and performance. Requirements: Experience: Proven work experience in a datacenter or other critical environment. Leadership: Demonstrated management experience, preferably with distributed or shift-based teams. Shift Flexibility: Availability to work shifts as a backup in emergencies. Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral) in both German and English. Technical Aptitude: Willingness to learn datacenter technical principles and operations. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Interpersonal Skills: A team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and mentoring abilities. The role is a full-time position and based in Munich, Germany, and will include business travel as needed to meet business demands but will likely be nominal. At Salute, we don’t have employees.
