Summary
For the area “Spexer & Passive Radar Engineering" at our location in Ulm we are looking for a “Systems Engineer SPEXER® 2000 Radar (f/m/d)”.
The department "Spexer & Passive Radar Engineering" is responsible for the development of the passive radar product TwInvis and the radar product family SPEXER® 2000 including system tests, integration at customer sites and acceptance tests. The development is done in close cooperation with the specialist departments. The radar product family SPEXER® 2000 are technologically leading products that are continuously improved. They are in demand and are in use worldwide. In your job as a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with experts and specialists from various areas of HENSOLDT. We work in diverse teams with strong team spirit in a very good working atmosphere. Our tasks also include support of project management, the preparation of proposals and presenting our products to customers.
Your Tasks
1. Design of suitable system concepts and architectures and preparation of system documents (interface documents, verification and acceptance documents, etc.)
2. Requirements engineering and management
3. Requirements assignment, definition of sub-system performance data and preparation of sub-system specifications
4. Making design decisions based on aspects like reusability, opportunities, risks, timing, quality, cost, safety and technical performance
5. Planning, execution and evaluation of system verification and acceptance tests
6. Planning and execution of national and international measurement campaigns
7. Development of systems / products within multidisciplinary teams in close cooperation with hardware / software development, production, logistics and suppliers
8. Collaboration in continuous improvement of products by using latest technologies e.g. AI and by creative and pragmatic approaches e.g. in HW, SW, algorithmic
Your Profile
9. Master degree in electrical engineering, communications technology or equivalent
10. Several years professional experience in this area
11. Experience in the development of radar systems
12. In-depth Knowledge in RF technology
13. Several years of experience in the application of system development methods
14. Experience in system verification / acceptance testing of systems
15. Knowledge of DOORS
16. Experience in planning and execution of customer trials desirable
17. Excellent teamwork and high social skills
18. Business fluent German and English language skills
