Engineer Blade Structures (m/f/d) - Methods & Tools
Nordex focuses on developing rotor blades from the initial concept phase to serial production. The company has modern blade production and testing facilities, collaborating with both internal and external partners.
Your Tasks:
* Perform structural analysis of lightweight rotor blade components made of fiber-reinforced composites using analytical or numerical methods (e.g., FEM).
* Take responsibility for conceiving and expanding calculation and analysis methods and related tools for rotor blade structural design.
* Collaborate within a team of structural engineers and cooperate with experts from other disciplines, such as aerodynamics, design, materials, loads, control, or manufacturing technology.
* Develop in-house software solutions for blade development.
* Design static and dynamic validation tests.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering, plastics technology) or equivalent qualification.
* 3-5 years of relevant work experience with good knowledge of engineering mechanics.
* Good knowledge of fiber-reinforced composites, including related materials and processes.
* Proficiency in the finite element method, ideally with ANSYS, and good programming skills (e.g., Python).
* Professional working proficiency in English, with additional language skills (German, Spanish) being an advantage.
* Structured and independent work style.
