Job Title: Physical Security Engineer (Alarm Systems and CCTV)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Physical Security Engineer to join our team in Munich. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of physical security systems, with a particular focus on alarm systems and CCTV infrastructure. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and an understanding of security standards and regulations in Germany.
Installation and Maintenance
1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of security equipment, including alarms, cameras, and recording devices.
2. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal functionality.
3. Upgrade and replace outdated systems to meet current security standards.
Compliance and Standards
1. Ensure all security systems comply with German and EU regulations, including GDPR for data protection.
2. Maintain documentation for system installations, modifications, and maintenance.
3. Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies for physical security vulnerabilities.
Collaboration and Training
1. Work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
2. Provide technical training and support to end-users and internal staff.
3. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in physical security technologies.
Project Management
1. Manage multiple security system projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Prepare project plans, budgets, and progress reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in physical security engineering, with a focus on alarm systems and CCTV.
3. Proven experience in designing and deploying large-scale security systems.
Technical Skills
1. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting alarm systems (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, or similar brands).
2. Expertise in CCTV technologies, including IP cameras, video management systems, and network infrastructure.
3. Strong understanding of access control systems and integration with alarm/CCTV solutions.
4. Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, VdS standards).
5. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools for technical drawings.
