About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer with expertise in system integration, Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), and regulatory compliance. This role requires a problem solver with the ability to investigate and connect missing links between various aerospace systems. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex systems, understand their interdependencies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations such as EASA CS 25 Subpart H, AC 43.13-1B/2B, and other applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Integration: Investigate, analyze, and integrate various aircraft systems, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with safety regulations.
* EWIS Compliance: Perform detailed analysis and assessments of aircraft wiring systems to comply with EASA CS 25 Subpart H, FAA AC 43.13-1B/2B, and other relevant regulations.
* Regulatory Compliance & Certification Support: Work closely with certification authorities and internal teams to ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, safety standards, and OEM requirements.
* Investigative & Problem-Solving Approach: Identify gaps in system integration, analyze discrepancies, and connect missing dots between electrical, avionics, and mechanical systems.
* Technical Documentation: Develop system architecture diagrams and integration documents.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize system performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in aerospace system integration, electrical wiring, or avionics.
* Strong understanding of EWIS, aircraft electrical systems, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) considerations.
* Knowledge of airworthiness regulations (EASA CS 25, FAA 14 CFR Part 25, AC 43.13-1B/2B).
* Ability to analyze complex systems, identify gaps, and connect interdependent components.
* Proficiency in system modeling tools, reliability software, and electrical design tools.
* Basic understanding of safety analysis methodologies (such as FTA, FMEA, FHA, SSA, ZAM) and ability to collaborate effectively with the safety department.
* Strong problem-solving skills and investigative mindset to find the right information for integration.
* Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with OEMs, MROs, or aerospace certification authorities.
* Hands-on experience with aircraft wiring harness design and EMI/EMC testing.
* Familiarity with E3 Zuken or similar wiring harness design tools (preferred but not required).
