Your new field of activity You collaborate with our international development teams on the configuration, customization and expansion of high-level control software for baggage handling systems at airports worldwide. You are responsible for implementing various modules (e.g. transport logic or material flow control) and extending them with new features. You modify software components to meet the requirements of new compilers, operating systems or cyber security. The test of all changes using emulation tools in a test environment. The installation of new versions of applications directly at the customer's facilities or perform patch upgrades. Your qualifications Completed university degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or a comparable qualification. Practical experience in software development and maintenance within a company. You are willing to familiarize yourself with existing software solutions. You are fluent in English and enjoy working in an international environment. You are willing to travel and would like to support our projects at major international airports during the commissioning phase. Very good user knowledge in Java SE programming, Java-based frameworks such as Spring or JEE, relational databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Windows Server operating systems. Ideally, you also have knowledge of platforms like WebLogic, Elastic or Docker, virtualization with VMWare or HyperV as well as tools like SVN or Git.
