Job Description
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer (m/f/x), you will play a hands-on role in designing, developing, and validating advanced electronic systems. This position requires deep technical expertise in hardware design, embedded firmware, and PCB validation. You will be directly responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality designs that meet industry standards and technical requirements.
Your Impact
* Design and develop complex electronic systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and advanced simulations.
* Perform rigorous validation of PCB layouts, focusing on manufacturability, signal integrity, power efficiency, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
* Write embedded firmware (C/C++) for real-time control and data acquisition, integrating hardware and software seamlessly.
* Conduct feasibility studies, advanced technical analysis, and risk assessments for new designs.
* Maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, firmware, and comprehensive test protocols.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into final products.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have
* Expertise in electronics engineering principles, including advanced circuit theory, high-speed signal processing, RF, and EMC.
* Hands-on experience with tools like Altium Designer and advanced simulation software.
* Strong embedded firmware development skills in C/C++, with knowledge of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
* Proficiency in testing, debugging, and failure analysis methodologies, as well as a solid understanding of industry best practices.
* Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for electronic systems.
* Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Nice to have
* Experience in IoT device integration and low-power design.
* Familiarity with Zephyr RTOS, FPGA/CPLD design, and VHDL/Verilog programming.
* Understanding of safety and compliance standards specific to the railway industry.
