Job Description: Job Title: IT Support Engineer (m/f/d) Location: Viernheim, Germany Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Act as a single point of contact for IT-related issues and requests. Provide support for LIS (Laboratory Information System). Cover first line IT support services including incident and request management. Troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems. Escalate complex issues to the IT Operations Team and related platforms. Maintain accurate records of all incidents and requests using the IT service management system. Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software. Provide user training and support to ensure efficient use of IT systems. Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure a high level of service delivery. Monitor IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Participate in IT projects as required. Local engagement on IT relevant requests Experience & Skillset required: Experience in a similar IT support role. Certifications in ITIL. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices Experience with supporting a Laboratory or healthcare environment would be beneficial. Proficiency in German and English; French is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Experience with IT support and incident management. Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Familiarity with common IT systems and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, networking fundamentals). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
