Then come and join our global team as Data Engineer (f/m/d) for Machine Learning (ML)-based Application Development in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
* You shape and build up a data management system for our MRI training and validation data.
* You implement workflows for compliant ingestion of large scale data from customers, collaboration partners, and internal teams to increase our data pool.
* You organize and store large amounts of data efficiently and implement quality control measures for data.
* You establish Standard Operating Procedures for data handling and storage within the organization.
* You ensure data integrity and accessibility for machine learning projects by establishing a data catalogue.
* You support ML development activities by assisting in data selection and dataset curation considering statistical soundness and requirements for regulatory approvals.
* You support our scientists and engineers who train, evaluate, and improve ML models.
* You perform tests and statistical analyses on our data.
* You support regulatory submission processes by delivering data management specifications.
Your qualifications and experience:
* You have successfully completed a university degree (Master's/Diploma) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering or similar; a PhD degree is a plus.
* You have several years of professional experience in data engineering in the context of machine learning, preferably within medical imaging or healthcare.
* You have proficiency in Python, R and C++.
* You are familiar with maintaining databases.
* You have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures for data handling and storage.
* You are familiar with ensuring data integrity and accessibility for advanced ML projects.
* You have knowledge of statistical modeling and methods and regulatory requirements in data management.
