This position is in support of a Department ofDefense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart,Germany. What will you do? We would like to see a candidate thathas a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaininga large scale IT System, with a focus on collaboration platforms,directory services, and file systems. Responsibilities will includeLeading and participating in upgrade and migration projects,ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Collaboratingwith cross functional teams. You will also need to be able toprovide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members topromote knowledge sharing and skill development and develop andmaintain documentation of system configurations, upgrades, andmigrations. What we need to see from you: An active DoD Secret clearance Ability to meet TESArequirements Bachelors degree with 4 years (OR) AssociatesDegree with 7 YOE, or High School and 11 YOE. Proven SystemsEngineering experience 5+ years of experience as a SystemsEngineer, with a focus on collaboration platforms, directoryservices, and file systems. Ability to work independently in afast paced environment Excellent problem solving, analytical, andcommunication skills Information Security Knowledge of systemsengineering software tools What we would like to see: Knowledgeof systems engineering methodologies, such as waterfall, agile, andhybrid approaches Understanding of systems engineeringprinciples, including requirements definition, design,implementation, testing, and deployment. Ability to apply systemsengineering principles to complex systems, including hardware,software, and firmware components. Understanding of systemlifecycle management, including development, production, andretirement. Ability to deploy and configure systems, includinghardware, software, and firmware components Knowledge of systeminstallation and setup, including installation scripts,configuration files, and setup procedures. Understanding ofsystem testing and validation, including functional testing,performance testing, and security testing. Ability totroubleshoot and resolve system issues, including debugging,logging, and error analysis.
