The Role
We are seeking a motivated Photonics RF Characterization Engineer (m/f/d) to join our graphene photonics-based chip-to-chip communication lab. The primary focus will be on establishing an RF-characterization routine for wafer-level testing, as well as de-embedding and analyzing the data
To join our team, you should be excited to
* Develop automated test setups for RF characterization, including the selection of equipment and the design of measurement setups (6 months)
* Write software for equipment integration and automation of testing
* Conduct wafer-level RF, DC, and passive testing
* Perform de-embedding of data and analysis using Python
* Calibrate test equipment to ensure stable and reproducible measurement procedures
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test processes and equipment
* Collaborate with product design teams to define test strategies for products
* Document and report findings to relevant stakeholders within the company
Your Qualifications
* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in RF Electronics or Photonics, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in an RF and/or optical characterization lab
* Experience with RF measurement equipment, such as BERT, VNA, High-Speed Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and Network Analyzer
* Experience with signal integrity, S-parameter analysis, and eye diagram analysis
* Awareness of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions
* Experience with RF characterization of electro-optical modulators and/or photodetectors is a plus
* Proficiency in Python and Git
* Good communication skills in English is required
