This includes monitoring and up keeping the network operating environments; responding to incidents; problems, planning for growth, deployment of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of Network Operating systems (IOS, Firmware, and Software), networks, and related utilities and hardware. The successful candidate will manage and maintain network devices on the customer premises and will be expected to work to several key performance indicators: SLA targets, capacity management and customer visits/communications. Detailed Description Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: ? Provide technical support and perform maintenance ? Install, maintain and configure network hardware and equipment, routers, switches, wireless access point (WAP), and SDWAN devices. ? Manage, monitor, and support various network devices (Cisco, Open source Network device, Aruba SDWAN, Wireless, firewalls and NAC) ? Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics. ? Explore new solutions, enhancements and opportunities for continuous improvement, projects and more ? Perform the acquisition, provisioning and decommissioning of related equipment, software and services ? Formally document change requests and manage the changes ? Manage external service providers ? Foster and develop a trusting relationship with the customer as well as internal resources, and be the customer advocate Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Strong customer service orientation Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Good understanding of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity, disaster recovery, risk analysis and prepare business case Strong knowledge of networking concepts (OSI Layers, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, IPSec, GRE, LAN, WAN, 802.1x, VTP, Spanning-Tree, IP routing, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, Trunking, and SDWAN) Advanced knowledge of infrastructure service management & diagnostic tools and processes Understanding of IT Infrastructure asset lifecycle management Extensive experience in the design of local area and wide area networks. Complexity of projects ranges from simple projects with minimal risks/ uncertainty to medium level projects with some high impact risks and multiple project variables with uncertainty. Excellent understanding of IP, MPLS, WAN, Ethernet, Wireless networking technologies. Experience with data Centre design, security principles, computing infrastructure. Engaged by the unknowns of implementing emergent technologies and industry standards. Experience with Cisco 6500, 2960x, 9300, 9500 and Nexus 5000, 7K, 9K is highly desired. Excellent understanding of IP addressing, and subnetting Excellent understanding of Software Defined WAN (SDWAN) Excellent understanding of VLAN, Trunking, 802.1q, Spanning-Tree, VTP, and Prevention of Network Looping Excellent understanding of Network routing protocols, such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and IS-IS Excellent understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) that includes 802.1x and MAB utilizing an external Radius server (Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE) Managing IP address, IP subnet blocks, and resolving IP conflicts issues. Must have experience working in an enterprise Datacenter environment. Cloud migration experience is preferred. Technical competencies include: Cisco network devices, Cisco Works, Cisco Switching expertise, network security, routing protocols and configurations, understanding of the VPN infrastructure, identify and close network security issues, understanding of MPLS infrastructure, managed solutions, in-depth knowledge of key vendor solutions Exposure to OPEN Source Networking, Monitoring, and Automation Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Zero Touch Network Access. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Typical Experience 7 to 10 years of related experience. Experience in similar job roles such as the design of localarea and wide area networks.? 2 to 4 years experience in a similar technical analyst/ network specialist role supporting Ciscoequipment and software? Experience on IP networks and Cisco Networking Products? Extensive experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco, Aruba, CheckPoint,and Open Source Network Operating System.
