Our E-Assessment department develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive psychological online assessments. We are looking for a full-time Java Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our team. You will be using your skills and experience to bring our highly successful assessment platform to the next level.
What will you be doing?
We are hiring a Java Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and work on our operational platform. Our software is life-changing, helping individuals discover careers that match their abilities and personalities through our innovative tests. Additionally, our platform enables the early detection of learning blocks and psychological challenges, empowering people to lead more fulfilling and improved lives.
With your expertise and innovative approach, we aim to modernize our system and ensure it remains at the forefront of the industry and continues to deliver life-changing results for our users. Your task will be to develop a forward-looking vision for our software. Your ideas will be integrated into a strategic roadmap that the team will implement under your guidance. Therefore, you will lead the design and execution of a comprehensive strategy to transition our existing software to contemporary technologies. Your role will include driving technical decisions to prepare our leading software for psychological testing over the next decade.
You will be actively involved in the software development process and set high standards for the team through your exemplary work. As a technical expert, you will support the team in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality.
We expect you to continually contribute to our pursuit of excellence across all aspects of our software development process. Your hands-on approach will not only drive technical implementation but also cultivate creativity and collaboration within the team, ensuring our software evolves dynamically to meet the evolving needs of our users and industry standards.
Additionally, you will support the Software Engineering Manager in further training employees and in strategic orientation of the team within our department.
Who are you?
After several years of successful development, our Hogrefe Test System has become the market leader, serving numerous customers worldwide. We are looking for a Java Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d) to prepare HTS for the future. This requires you to create a technical vision, design the software architecture, and establish the necessary measures, which you will implement with your team of developers.
You should have at least eight years of professional experience in the industry. However, we value the nature and success of your previous projects more than the duration. We would love to hear about what you have worked on, how it was built, and why it was a success.
