Develop and manage EMC specifications and documentation. Ensure components conform to applicable standards and requirements. Manage the component EMC database in conjunction with Component Engineers. Oversee EMC test plans with suppliers to meet stage gate deliverables, supporting reviews where necessary. Develop and follow best practice working procedures to support EMC activities. Create EMC KPIs for component EMC compliance status and publish to the leadership team on a regular basis (monthly) for each project. Support component hardware reviews with suppliers as needed. Promote EMC awareness across the business and support training for new starters where necessary. Chair the internal EMC working group with key stakeholders to ensure the EMC approach remains robust and applicable. Support whole vehicle EMC testing alongside the T&D team as needed. Who We Are Looking For: Significant relevant experience in EMC within the automotive industry. Similar roles outside the automotive industry will be considered. Experience with vehicle electrical architectures based on CAN systems is highly desirable. Experience with the full product lifecycle from concept through to vehicle launch. Experience delivering electrical systems/components. It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have: Experience working with and managing suppliers. Experience with EMC toolsets, simulation, etc. Experience with IT-based systems for tracking tasks/actions (JIRA, Excel, Word, Project). Experience with design for EMC best practices (PCB, hardware, filters, suppression, etc.). Skills: Self-motivated and resilient. Methodical and accurate. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Logical approach to problem-solving. Education: BEng or MEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Systems Engineering, with proven relevant experience. Working knowledge of global applicable EMC standards (UNECE Reg10, CISPR, ISO, FCC, GB/T).
