PURPOSE & SCOPE As systems engineer you will play a crucial role in the systems engineering department, supporting global project teams. System design, system architecture, requirement handling, system and component testing and customer contact are part of the daily business, leading to the creation of highly integrated mechatronic systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team, focusing on the integration of hydraulic systems for the automotive industry by combining oil-pumps with brushless motors, controllers, software, and additional components depending on the target application. Contribute to the growth of the business by assisting in the continuous improvement effort of processes, design, analysis and testing through bench and vehicle integration. Ensure a high quality and customer focused service to the business concerning the responsibilities listed below. ________________________________________________________ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop mechatronic systems according to the V-Model in compliance with automotive standards. Requirement Anlysis: Understand system requirements on a multi-disciplinary level Define sub-systems and interfaces Coordinate with global expert teams System Development: Design and develop systems and system architectures Based on customer requirements and for internal development activities System Integration Collaborate with global teams to integrate hydraulics, electronics and software Ensure seamless integration of sub-systems Testing and Validation: Support in defining the testing strategy and scope Support on system and integration level Collaboration: Work closely with customer and inter-company development teams Coordinate interfaces and collaboration EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE/TRAINING Education and/or Experience: Master's degree in in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related fields Proficiency in reading technical drawings Ability to create, interpret schematics and diagrams Able to navigate in CAD systems Able to understand FEA and CFD results Practical experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems Solid experience in common development tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink) Familiarity with tools which manage requirements (e.g. Doors, Helix) is a plus Qualifications: Excellent team player with "can do" and “hands on” attitude Excellent communications and problem solving skills Excellent understanding of physical principles Ability to set and follow own milestones Language Skills: Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
