About the role We’re looking for an IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our team in Eschborn, Germany and provide exceptional technical support to ensure seamless IT operations across our local and remote sites. Reporting to the Europe Supervisor based in the Netherlands, you will play a key role in setting up, troubleshooting, and managing desktop infrastructure while collaborating with global teams on network and security initiatives. What you will do Provide technical support: Assist end-users in resolving networking, software, and hardware issues via phone, email, and in person. Desktop support and maintenance: Handle daily technical tasks, including troubleshooting desktop systems and managing data networks and servers. Network operations: Configure and troubleshoot LAN (routing and switching) and wireless networks, working with architects to optimize performance. System administration: Manage user accounts, password resets, authentication processes, and system upgrades. Implement solutions: Design and deploy new network solutions or enhance existing ones to improve efficiency and reliability. Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with vendors, cross-functional teams, and global colleagues to address and resolve issues promptly. Documentation and processes: Maintain and update standard operating procedures, best practices, and customer service guidelines related to network architecture. What you bring Experience: At least 2 years of experience in desktop support within a multinational organization. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. Technical skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting networking systems (LAN, wireless, etc.). Strong knowledge of operating systems, software installations, and hardware maintenance. Linux experience is highly desirable. Language skills: Fluent in English (minimum B2 level) and the local language (essential). Soft skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven. A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
