1. Implement new optical fiber connectivity products from concept through prototyping, implementation of assembly process and validation into production.
2. Introduce innovations and new technologies to existing products and manufacturing processes.
3. Demonstrates the ability to develop, implement, and qualify complex or advanced assembly processes with a high level of expertise in tools such as DFM, KT, DoE, Statistical Process Analysis, and Six Sigma.
4. Execute root cause analysis to initiate process improvements.
5. Transfer New Product Introductions (NPI) from the Technology team to the Engineering team, including component selection and evaluation based on customer requirements.
6. Stay updated on new trends in fiber optic technologies.
7. Document new ideas for potential patent submissions.
8. Collaborate in international, multidisciplinary project groups.
Required Education & Skills
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Material Engineering, or a related field.
10. >3 years of professional experience and skills in building prototypes, transferring products and/or processes into production.
11. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Creativity and a passion for innovation.
13. Effective communication skills within multi-national groups.
14. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Desired Requirements & Soft Skills
15. Knowledge and experience with Optical Fiber, Fiber Array Units, and Co-Packaged Optics.
16. Knowledge of manufacturing process for optics, fibers, connectors and/or optical measurement equipment.
