As a QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for making sure our web and mobile apps (iOS and Android) are consistently good quality. You’ll work within the Core Platform development team, reporting to the team lead.
To begin with, you’ll be doing a combination of manual testing and running and debugging end-to-end tests to find bugs and regressions in releases. You’ll be responsible for setting up test plans in combination with product and engineering and executing and reporting on any failures.
Your main responsibility however will be in moving towards an entirely automated testing process. This will consist of collaborating with engineers in other teams to design and implement new testing methodologies. It will also be about improving existing tooling and making the whole process more efficient and effective.
By setting up strong test frameworks and selecting the right tools, you’ll be shaping the long-term quality strategy in product and development. This role is therefore also about embedding a culture of quality and high standards and ensuring that everyone works towards making every release reliable and performant.
Key responsibilities:
* Start with manual testing for web applications and mobile apps (iOS and Android), then work towards building automated test suites.
* Ensure new features are properly tested, including functional, regression, and integration tests.
* Find and document bugs across web and mobile platforms, and work with the dev team to resolve them.
* Use tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or similar to build and maintain automated test scripts.
* Continuously increase the automation coverage and improve testing processes.
* Work with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly and maintain high-quality standards.
* Document test results clearly and share issues with the right teams.
* Help build a culture of quality in the team, ensuring that testing is always a priority.
* Always look for ways to improve QA processes, with a long-term goal of shifting to full automation.
* Stay current with new tools and testing methods, especially for mobile and web automation.
We’re looking for:
* Solid experience as a QA Engineer or software tester, especially in web and mobile app testing (iOS and Android).
* Comfortable starting with manual testing and developing towards automated testing.
* Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, and Playwright.
* Familiar with bug tracking systems and test case management.
* Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for writing automated tests.
* Understanding of SQL for database checks and API testing tools like Postman.
* Good at finding and fixing bugs across web and mobile platforms.
* Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality results.
* Strong communication skills to work well with developers and other teams.
* Ability to clearly document and share test results and issues.
What we offer you:
* Generous annual leave policies, including a company-wide closure period at year-end, aimed at promoting work-life balance.
* Flexibility in working arrangements, offering hybrid or remote work options based on role requirements and location.
* Matching pension schemes and/or 401k.
* Comprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health. This includes provisions such as Mental Health Days, subsidized therapy, discounted Classpass memberships, and custom-fitted earplugs.
* Company-led social events, team lunches, and discounts on RA merch.
* Paid annual volunteering allowance, encouraging contributions to community projects and charities you care about.
* Regular company-wide Q&A’s with senior leadership, along with ongoing virtual educational training sessions for all staff.
* A transparent internal company culture committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (see: https://ra.co/about/diversity).
* Active involvement in community projects within the electronic music community (see: https://ra.co/about/community).
