JOB DESCRIPTION:
* The Sales Engineer (m/f/d) is a part of the Sales team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Typical applications and markets are the aerospace industry.
* The position includes a career chance, e.g., to get promoted to a Business Unit Manager Position within 2-5 years. The position is a forward, customer-facing role. The majority of the Sales Engineer’s time is spent on customer-facing activities and includes customer relations and new business development.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:
* Proactive acquisition of new business, in close cooperation with our Sales and Engineering team.
* Support of contract reviews and price negotiations.
* Competent customer service for existing customers.
* Contribution to the Business Plan (Booking and Sales planning).
* Preparation of technical market and competition analysis.
* Contributing ideas for further development of our products (product management and technical roadmap), based on market demands.
* Preparation/participation in relevant trade fairs and events.
* Develop positive relationships with customers.
* Perform other duties as may be assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
* Open for qualified junior staff, ideally at least 5 years of professional experience with project management or sales in the civil and/or military aerospace industry.
* Technical degree preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of aviation technology is preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of national and international aviation regulations is an advantage.
* Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.

* Result-oriented, drives performance to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
